Alarms

Each type of equipment has its own set of alarms. These alarms are described in the equipment manuals. Refer to the help topic titled “Viewing Manuals.”

When an alarm is triggered by any connected equipment in any of your company’s facilities, users in the Alarm Contact list receive an alarm notification email or app push. Equipment that is not connected do not cause notifications or emails to be sent.

  • To add or remove a user from the Alarm Contact list, refer to the help topic titled “Alarm Contact List.”

  • To see the connectivity status of equipment, go to the Connected Status column in the Equipment List screen. Refer to the help topic titled “Equipment List Screen” for more information.

There are a number of places in the ConnectCare service portal where you can see information about alarms:

  • In the Remote Monitoring Command Center screen, which lists online equipment. If the equipment triggered any alarms, this screen specifies the type of alarm in its first column. Refer to the help topic titled “Remote Monitoring Command Center Screen.”

  • Under the Alarm history tab located at the bottom of a device’s Equipment/Device Data screen. Refer to the help topic titled “Equipment/Device Data screen.”

  • In the Equipment Alarm report. Refer to the help topic titled “Reports.”

Also, in the Dashboard screen, there are three places that give summary information about alarms. See the figure below.

  • The Open Equipment Alarms tab shows the number of open alarms for the current week. It does not monitor how many devices are causing the alarms.

  • The Remote Monitoring box, located at the top of the second column in the Dashboard screen, lists the number of “alarming devices.” This is the number of devices that are currently causing alarms to occur. One device can cause more than one alarm to occur at the same time.

  • The Remote Monitoring box also includes “Alarms Last 24 Hours.” This is the number of alarms that were triggered in the last 24 hours. Some or all of these alarms may already be resolved. Multiple alarms could be caused by the same device.
