Dashboard screen

The Dashboard screen displays when you login. It also displays when you click on the ConnectCare logo located in the upper left corner of every screen and when you select the Dashboard menu option located in the left margin of every screen.

 

The Dashboard screen provides a quick summary of general information and also provides links to more specific information. The screen is described in the table below.

ITEM

DESCRIPTION

1. MENU

When selected, a drop-down menu displays. Its options are:

  • Equipment Services 

Displays the ConnectCare software you are currently using.

  • Instrument Management Services 

Displays the IMS login screen of the ConnectCare software

  • Shop Parts & Accessories  

Displays the Parts screen. It allows you to order repair parts and also order parts that will be automatically shipped 30 days before the specified date.

  • STERIS.com

Displays the STERIS website

  • STERIS University  

This is a subscription service that offers:

- Certification classes and classes that offer credit hours

- Interactive classes 

- Webinars

- Basic, intermediate, advanced, and managerial classes

When selected, the Dashboard screen displays.

Equipment

When selected, the Equipment List screen displays. Each row in this screen provides information about specific equipment, such as: serial number, description, asset tag, status, etc. Clicking on the serial number causes the Equipment/Device Data screen to display which offers additional information about the equipment. Refer to the help topics titled “Equipment List” and “Equipment/Device Data screen” for more information.

Service History

When selected, the Service History screen displays. Each row in this screen lists information about a service request and how it was resolved. It includes links to the Service Action report and Field Service report (if there are any reports). Refer to the help topic titled “Service History screen” for more information.

View Open Request

When selected, the Open Service Requests screen displays. Each row in this screen lists information about an open service request, such as the equipment, location, activity, sub-activity, etc. Refer to the help topic titled “Open Service Requests screen” for more information.

Quarterly Deals

When selected, the Quarterly Deals screen displays. This screen lists special offerings, for example, quality control tests performed by STERIS field service representatives.  

Customer Support

When selected, the Customer Support screen displays. This screen allows you to submit questions about the ConnectCare service portal to the ConnectCare Support team. This team does not support equipment. For additional information, refer to the help topic titled “Submitting a Service Request.”

2.  TOP OF EVERY SCREEN

When selected, a drop-down menu displays. Its options are:

Displays the ConnectCare software you are currently using.

When you click on the ConnectCare logo (), the Dashboard screen displays.

Equipment Quick Find search

Enter the serial number of the equipment. You must enter the entire number. When you do, a menu displays beneath the field containing the name of the equipment assigned that serial number. Click on it and the Equipment/Device Data screen displays with detailed information about the selected device. Refer to the help topic titled “Equipment/Device Data screen” for more information.

Request Service button

When selected, the Request STERIS Service screen displays. In this screen, you can enter specific information about an issue, then submit a service request to the STERIS Technical Care team. Refer to the help topic titled “Submitting a Service Request” for more information.

Facilities button

When selected, a drop-down menu displays. It lists the facilities you have access to and allows you to choose which facilities you would like to examine in the ConnectCare software. You can choose one, more than one, or all facilities.

The Apply button causes the ConnectCare screens to only display information about the facilities listed above it.

Usually displays your company’s logo

Welcome, your login name drop‑down menu

When selected, a drop-down menu displays which contains these options:

Manage Account 

Allows you to see information that you can view and possibly change, depending on how your user profile was setup. 

  • Profile tab – displays information about your user profile
  • Account tab – displays information about your company
  • Users tab – displays information about users and also provides the ability to add new users and change information about existing users. These users are only from the facilities you selected when using the Facilities button (described above) 
  • Operator Assistant tab – displays information about scheduled tasks and also provides the ability to create new tasks and change information about existing tasks

Training 

Displays a STERIS web page that offers online training.

Logout

Allows you to exit the ConnectCare service portal. This is the preferred method of closing the portal.

3.  WEEKLY SUMMARY OF CURRENT PERFORMANCE METRICS 

Service Visits this Week tab

The tab specifies the total number of service visits that occurred at your facility this week.

When the tab is selected, a bar chart displays below the tab. Information can be displayed in two formats. Select the format by choosing an icon located to the right of the Service Visits Summary title.

  • The Monthly icon () displays a bar chart that shows the number of service visits that were completed each week for approximately the last two months. Each bar represents a different week. 
  • The Weekly icon () displays the number of visits that were completed for each type of service during the current week.

The bars in the chart are color coded to show the type of service performed:

  • Blue     Preventative maintenance
  • Gray     Field repair
  • Beige   Specialty service

Hover your cursor over a bar and a description of the bar displays.

Scheduled PMs tab

The tab specifies the total number of scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) tasks for this week.

When the tab is selected, a list of preventative maintenance tasks displays. These are tasks to be done by STERIS technicians. These tasks are scheduled to begin within the next 45 days and service tickets were created for them. 

Click on the serial number (S/N) of the equipment to see scheduled dates of tasks and other information on the Equipment/Device Data screen. Refer to the help topic titled “Equipment/Device Data screen” for more information.

Completed tasks are highlighted in green. The Service History screen lists completed tasks. Refer to the help topic titled “Service History screen.”

Open Equipment Alarms tab

The tab specifies the total number of open alarms this week.

When the tab is selected, the Open Equipment Alarms list displays below the tab. It shows the current alarm state, alarm description, location, equipment, etc. 

Click on the serial number of the equipment for more information.

NOTE:    If your company has the Remote Monitor subscription, then under the alarm description, there may be a link titled “View Troubleshooting Steps.” Click on it to see information that may help you resolve the issue yourself.

Operator Assistant tab

The tab specifies the total number of tasks to be one by your in-house technicians that are past due this week.

When the tab is selected, the scheduled tasks list displays below the tab. These are tasks to be done by your in-house technicians. It shows the status of the tasks, along with date, equipment, location, etc. The status of a task is color coded, so you can quickly see if there are any issues:

  • Red             Past due
  • Green         Completed
  • Gray            Equipment is offline (cannot run tasks on offline equipment)
  • White         Upcoming/Not yet due (for example, start time of test is 24 hours away)

Click on the serial number of the equipment for more information.

4.  SERVICE INFORMATION 

Operator Manuals link

Displays the Operator Manual screen. From this screen you can access the manuals for your STERIS equipment. Refer to the help topic titled “Viewing Manuals” for more information.

Maintenance Manuals link

Displays the Maintenance Manuals screen. From this screen you can access the manuals for your STERIS equipment. Refer to the help topic titled “Viewing Manuals” for more information.

Parts On-Hand & PM Parts Auto-Ship

Displays the Parts Onhand screen. It allows you to order repair parts and also order parts that will be automatically shipped 30 days before the specified date.

Training Resources 

Displays the Training screen. There are four types of training offered:

Classroom Training 

Technical training classes that teach how to service STERIS equipment. These classes are held in a STERIS facility.

On-Site Training

Technical training classes that teach how to service STERIS equipment. These classes are held in your facility.

Online Training

Offers online training that enhancing the training your employees have already received.

STERIS University

This is a subscription service that offers:

- Certification classes and classes that offer credit hours

- Interactive classes 

- Webinars

- Basic, intermediate, advanced, and managerial classes

5.  REMOTE MONITORING (Only available if your company has a Remote Monitor subscription.)

Remote Monitoring link

Displays the Remote Monitoring Command Center screen. Refer to the help topic titled “Remote Monitoring Command Center screen” for more information.

Online Devices

Shows the number of devices that are currently connected and online

Alarming Devices

Shows the number of devices that are currently in an alarm state (open alarms that have not been resolved)

Offline Devices

Shows the number of devices that are currently connected and offline

In Cycle

Shows the number of cycles that are currently being performed. 

To see more information about these cycles, click on the Remote Monitoring link or the View Command Center button in the second column. The Remote Monitoring screen displays. It shows the current cycle type and remaining cycle time. Refer to the help topic titled “Remote Monitoring Command Center screen” for more information.

Alarms Last 24 Hours

Shows any new alarms that were triggered in the last 24 hours. These alarms could have been resolved or could still be open.

Displays the Remote Monitoring Command Center screen. Refer to the help topic titled “Remote Monitoring Command Center screen” for more information.

6.  STERIS CUSTOMER SERVICE

Utility Information

Advertises a feature that the customer does not currently have as part of their subscription.
