Dashboard screen (Operator Assistant tab)

In the center of the Dashboard screen there is an area that shows a summary of various performance metrics. Select the type of information you want to see by clicking on the appropriate tab:

  • Service Visits this Week

  • Scheduled PMs

  • Open Equipment Alarms

  • Operator Assistant

When the Operator Assistant tab is selected, a list of scheduled tasks displays below the tab. These tasks are designed to make sure the equipment is running at standard effectiveness. They are performed by your technicians. (STERIS technicians perform the preventative maintenance tasks found under the Scheduled PMs tab.) The screen is shown after the steps below.

In the tab is a number. This is the number of tasks that are past due.

The data in the screen is read only, except the information in the Status column. A reason why a status may need to be manually changed is if a task’s cycle tape was not received because the interface to the ConnectCare service portal was down.

NOTE:   The Export to CSV button is located near the bottom-right corner of the screen. The exported CSV file will show that a user manually changed the status. The Last Updated By column in the file will contain the user’s name instead of the word “System.”

To change the status of a task, perform these steps.

1.    Place a checkmark in the checkbox of a task (first column of the row).

2.    Click on the Status button located beneath the list of tasks. A drop-down menu displays. Select the desired option. The contents of the drop-down menu depend on the type of equipment and if the equipment is connected or not.

3.    Click on the Save button

COLUMNS

Checkboxes

Click on a checkbox to place a checkmark in it. This selects the task described in the row.

Status

Name given to the task when it was created. The color in this column allows you to quickly see if there are any issues:

  • Red              Past due, equipment is online
  • Green          Completed
  • Gray             Equipment is offline (cannot run tasks on offline equipment)
  • White          Upcoming/Not yet due (for example, start time of test is 24 hours away), equipment is online

NOTE:   A reason a task might not have a green (completed) status is because its cycle tape was not received. Cycle tapes are received in real time. The status can be manually changed. An example of when this might need to be done is if a cycle was run, but the interface to the ConnectCare service portal was down, so the cycle tape was never received. Receiving the cycle tape would have set the status to complete.

Perform these steps to manually change a status:

NOTE:   The exported CSV file will show that the user manually changed the status. The Last Updated By column in the file will contain the user’s name instead of the word “System.”
