Equipment List Screen
The Equipment List screen displays your facility’s inventory of equipment. It includes both STERIS and other company’s equipment that is in your ConnectCare system. It also includes both connected and not connected equipment; for example, a surgical table could be in the list, but it will never be connected and no cycles will ever be run on it. Cycles are run on connected equipment, such as sterilizers and washers.
Basic information about equipment can be seen on this screen. Click on the serial number of a device to open the Equipment/Device Data screen that contains additional information about the device. Refer to the help topic titled “Equipment/Device Data screen” for more information.
To see the Equipment List screen, perform the following step.

Step 1. In the menu, select the Equipment option. The Equipment List screen displays.

SEARCH FILTERS | ||
Serial Number checkbox | When selected, a field displays that allows you to enter a serial number. This can be any part of the serial number or the full serial number. Click on the Search button or select the Enter key on your computer’s keyboard to begin the search. | |
Asset Tag checkbox | When selected, a field displays that allows you to enter the Asset Tag number that was assigned to equipment by your facility. Click on the Search button or select the Enter key on your computer’s keyboard to begin the search. | |
Location drop‑down menu | Limits the search to the selected location. Click on the Search button or select the Enter key on your computer’s keyboard to begin the search. | |
Equipment Type drop‑down menu | Limits the search to the selected product family. Click on the Search button or select the Enter key on your computer’s keyboard to begin the search. | |
Status drop‑down menu | Limits the search to equipment with the selected status. The options could be: active, not serviced, obsolete, etc. This depends on how the account was setup. Click on the Search button or select the Enter key on your computer’s keyboard to begin the search. | |
Department drop‑down menu | Limits the search to the selected department. Click on the Search button or select the Enter key on your computer’s keyboard to begin the search. | |
Equipment drop‑down menu | Limits the search to the selected equipment. Click on the Search button or select the Enter key on your computer’s keyboard to begin the search. | |
Search button | Causes the search to begin. NOTE: The Enter key on your computer’s keypad also begins a search. | |
Save Search checkbox | Causes the results of the search to be saved. When this user logs out then logs back in, and opens the Equipment List screen, the results of this search display instead of the entire equipment inventory. | |
EQUIPMENT INFORMATION | ||
Columns drop‑down menu | Allows you to select which columns display on the screen. Click on the Update button (described below) after you change the selection of columns. | |
Update button | If you used the Columns drop-down menu (described above) to change which columns appear in the screen, selecting the Update button makes this change occur. | |
Location column | Allows you to change the location where the equipment is located. When you click in this column, the following displays.

Select to save the new location | ||
Select to cancel. This closes the field and the new location is not saved. | ||
NOTE: To delete a location, erase the text so the box is empty, then click on | ||
Department column | Department the equipment is assigned to. When you click in this field, a drop-down menu displays that allows you to change the department. | |

Serial Number column | Unique number assigned to the equipment by STERIS. Click on this number to open the Equipment/Device Data screen that provides more information about this equipment, including: device data, scheduled PMs, and the cycle tapes. | |

Equipment Type column | General product category this equipment belongs in | |
Coverage Type | Different subscriptions support different types of availability, such as the ability to view specific types of equipment and accessing specific screens in the ConnectCare portal. Typically, this column is blank (account subscription) or contains “Total Care Connect” (equipment subscription). | |
Asset Tag column | Number assigned to equipment by your facility. When you click in this column, the following displays. It is described below: | |

Status column | Shows the status of the equipment, such as: active, not serviced, obsolete, etc. What can display depends on how the equipment’s account was setup. | |
Last Service Date column | Last time a STERIS technician performed service on the equipment | |
Connected Status column | Indicates if the equipment is online or offline.
