Service History Screen
The Service History screen lists service activities that were completed (closed). It provides a complete history of all services performed by the STERIS Technical Care team as well as all activities executed through the mobile application. Here you can run reports for internal purposes or for your Joint Commissions or CMS surveys. It offers the service history of the equipment beginning from March, 2019 [nct1] or the equipment account’s enrollment date, whichever is earlier.
Steps
Step 1. Click on the Service History option in the menu. The Service History screen displays.

ITEM | DESCRIPTION |
BUTTONS | |
Column button | Allows you to select which columns display on the screen. A maximum of ten columns can display. Click on the Update button (described below) after you change the selection of columns. |
Update button | If you used the Columns drop-down menu (described above) to change which columns appear in the screen, selecting the Update button makes this change occur. |
Set Up Email Reports button | Select this button to have Service History reports automatically generated and emailed to you from the ConnectCare service portal on a weekly or monthly basis. When you click on this button, the following displays: If you want Service History reports emailed to you automatically, click in the checkbox to place a checkmark in the box. The following displays. Select whether you want to receive reports about the previous week’s or month’s service history and when you want to receive the reports. Click on the Save Schedule button. |
Export to CSV button | Creates a CSV file containing the information shown on the Service History screen. Use the search filters (described below) to list only the needed information. One use for the CSV file is to easily import the information to CMMS software for review. When you click on this button, a message appears in the upper-right corner of your screen notifying you that the file has been created is ready to be opened. It can be accessed at a later time in your computer’s Download folder. |
Export to PDF button | Creates a PDF file containing the information shown in the Service History screen. Use the search filters (described below) to list only the needed information. A maximum of 500 records can be included in the PDF file. Summary information is provided at the top of the report. When you click on this button, a message appears in the upper-right corner of your screen notifying you that the file has been created is ready to be opened. It can be accessed at a later time in your computer’s Download folder. |
SEARCH FILTERS | |
Year to Date checkbox | Limits the search to days in the current year. |
Last 30 Days checkbox | Limits the search to the last 30 days |
Custom Date Range checkbox | When selected, the From and To fields display. They offer calendars that allow you to choose a range of days. The search can only scan for those days. |
Serial Number checkbox | When selected, a field displays that allows you to enter a serial number. The search is limited to this serial number. You do not need to enter the entire number. You can simply enter the first numbers of the serial number, then click on the Search button. |
Asset Number checkbox | When selected, a field displays that allows you to enter the asset number. The search is limited to this asset number. |
Service Request # checkbox | When selected, a field displays that allows you to enter a service request number. The search is limited to this service request number. You do not need to enter the entire number. You can simply enter the first characters of the Service Request number, then click on the Search button. |
Location drop‑down menu | Limits the search to the selected location. |
Equipment Type drop‑down menu | Limits the search to the selected product family |
Department drop‑down menu | Limits the search to the selected department |
Equipment drop‑down menu | Limits the search to the selected equipment |
Service Type drop‑down menu | Limits the search to the type of service requested. The options are: preventative maintenance, field repair, and specialty service. |

COLUMNS | |
Service Action Report column | If a File icon ( For most preventative maintenance activities, the STERIS Equipment Service technician fills out this form. It lists the steps the technician performed during the visit to your facility, for example: what was changed, verified, etc. There may not be a report for some types of equipment, like legacy equipment or accessories. This report can be provided to the Joint commission so they know what work was performed. NOTE: There may be a delay between when a technician closes a service request and when the form is filled out. |
Field Service Report column | If a File icon ( This report includes the type of service, part replacement information and estimated cost, labor/travel details and estimated charges, etc. |
Location column | Where the equipment is located in your facility |
Service Request # column | Number assigned to the service request when it was submitted to STERIS |
Picture column | Illustration of the equipment |
Serial Number column | Unique number assigned to the equipment by STERIS |
Equipment column | Description of the equipment. Click on this link to see additional information about the equipment. Refer to the help topic titled “Equipment/Device Data screen.” |
Asset Tag column | Number assigned to the equipment by your company |
Performed By column | Technician that performed the requested service |
Service Type column | Lists the type of service. Examples include: preventative maintenance, field repair, and specialty service. |
Description column | Description of the service. Examples include: Preventative maintenance scheduled for October 2023, heat exchanger leaking from gasket, leaking check valve, etc. If the description is too long to fit in the space, hover your cursor over the text. The complete description displays. |
Date column | Day the service was performed and the service request was closed |
Certified column | The silver seal is only for preventative maintenance activities. A silver seal indicates that the preventative maintenance activity performed by your STERIS Equipment Service technician was successfully completed. Any OEM-approved, preventative maintenance inspection comes with a seal. This includes all services performed by STERIS Equipment Service technicians. |
