Remote Monitoring Command Center Screen

This screen is only available if your company has the Remote Monitor subscription and your account was setup to allow you access to remote monitoring features.

 

The Remote Monitoring Command Center screen lists connected equipment. You can add and remove equipment to/from this screen, as needed. Equipment that are removed are not deleted from the equipment inventory (shown in the Equipment List screen). They are only removed from the Remote Monitoring Command Center screen.

 

This screen provides a real-time view of what is happening with the equipment. It also provides a high-level overview of the status of the equipment. 

 

Perform the following steps to open the Remote Monitoring Command Center screen.

Steps

 

Step 1. Go to the Dashboard screen of the ConnectCare service portal.

Step 2. Click on the Remote Monitoring link or the View Command Center button in the second column of the Dashboard screen. The Remote Monitoring Command Center screen displays. The screen and table of descriptions are shown after the steps below.

 

Step 3. The screen can be viewed in List or Grid mode. When the screen opens, it is in List view. Near the upper-right corner of the screen are the Switch View icons.

 

 

Where:

  •  causes the information on the screen to be displayed as a list. Each row is a different device. See the figure below.

 

  •  Causes the information on the screen to be displayed in a grid format. Each box contains information about a different device. 

 

Select the view you prefer to see.

COMMANDS

Add Equipment button

Allows you to add equipment to this screen if the equipment is connected.

 

If the equipment is not connected, contact the ConnectCare Support Team (connectcare_support@steris.com) to add the equipment to the ConnectCare system. 

Reporting Tool button

Causes the Remote Monitoring Reporting Tool screen to display. From this screen you can cause the following reports to be created:

 

  • Equipment Productivity report which contains: number of cycles run on the selected equipment during a specified period of time. It also contains the average number of cycles run per hour. You can select up to five devices for this report.

 

  • Equipment Alarm report that shows: which devices had alarms, number of alarms that occurred on each device, type of alarm, when alarms occurred, etc. One way this report is used is to determine if equipment is alarming more during certain time periods, which indicates training may be needed.

 

  • Leak Rate report contains graphs that show the leak rate value for each week over the previous month.

Switch View buttons

Displays equipment information in different formats:

List View - Each row provides information about one device. Click on a serial number to open the Equipment/Device Data screen that provides additional information about the device.

Grid View - Displays information about the equipment in blocks. The blocks are color coded, allowing you to quickly and easily see the status of equipment. You can customize the grid view by choosing which equipment appears in the screen.

FILTERS

Location drop‑down menu

Only displays equipment in the selected locations

Department drop‑down menu

Only displays equipment assigned to the selected department

Status drop‑down menu

Only displays equipment with the selected status

Selected drop‑down menu

Allows you to select which columns display in the Equipment Information area of the screen.

EQUIPMENT INFORMATION

Alarm Information column

If the equipment triggered any alarms, this column specifies the type of alarm that occurred.

Equipment column

Description of the equipment

Serial # column

Unique number assigned to the equipment by STERIS. Click on the serial number to display the Equipment/Device Data screen for additional information about a device.

Cycle Counts column

Total number of cycles that have been run on this equipment. If the equipment is currently running a cycle, then after the cycle successfully completes, this number increases by one.

Operation Status column

Indicates the status of the cycle, for example: in cycle, out of cycle, etc.

Door Status column

Indicates if the door is open or closed

Current Cycle Type column

If the equipment is currently in cycle, this specifies the type of cycle, for example: flexible, lumen, nonlumen, prevac, DART, etc.

Remaining Cycle Time column

For equipment that is in cycle, this is the time remaining in the cycle. This is in real time and shows the time counting down.
