This article focuses on how to create a Service Request for Equipment (i.e., sterilizers, washers, etc.) from the quick action icon in the top navigation. NOTE: If the problem is critical, call the STERIS Technical Care team at 1-800-548-4873.

 

1. Click the ‘REQUEST SERVICE’ icon in the top navigation.

 

 

2. Select the Facility.

When you have more than one facility applied in your session, you will be prompted to select a single facility associated with the Service Request. Select the facility from the drop-down list and click ‘SUBMIT’.

 

 


3. Add information to the Service Request.

Once on the Service Request form, begin typing the serial number or equipment type in the field “What needs service?.” As you type, equipment results will be shown for that specific facility. Click on the item you want to add to the Service Request. 

Complete all required fields and upload a photo or file if you'd like. 

Note: The Service Request defaults to the standard degree of urgency. If you need after hours service, you must accept the 4-hour minimum overtime charge to proceed.

Click the ‘NEXT: REVIEW’ button to review the request prior to submission.  


 


4. Review and submit.

Review the information you've added to the Service Request. If you need to make changes, click the 'BACK' button. 

Under 'Phone Resolution,' you have the opportunity to opt-out of having a Technical Care Agent call you. In this call, an Agent will try to help troubleshoot the issue prior to scheduling a field service technician. If you do not want this call, check the box to opt-out. 

Once all the information is correct click the ‘SUBMIT’ button.




 5. View the Service Request Details page. 

Once submitted, a 'Service Request Details' page will be displayed and show a red 'OPEN' tag, indicating that the Service Request has been received and is open.


 

Tip: Once the Service Request has been submitted you can also view this information from the Dashboard by clicking on the ‘Open Service Requests’ tile.
