Updating an Existing Leak Test

If you need to change the information assigned to a Leak test, perform the following steps. Typical reasons to reconfigure a test include: changing the days of the week the test should be run, adding/deleting equipment that need to perform the test, and changing notification contacts.

Steps

Step 1.  Click on the Welcome link. A drop-down menu displays.

Step 2.  Select the Manage Account menu option. The Manage Account screen displays.

Step 3.  Select the Operator Assistant tab. A list of scheduled tasks displays.

Step 4.  Find the Leak test whose information you want to change, then click on the Edit icon () located at the end of its row. The Edit Operator Maintenance Task screen displays. It is shown below.

 

Step 5. Make the required changes. A table describing each field is located below.

 

Step 6. Click on the Save button located at the bottom of the screen. The Manage Account screen displays and a message appears confirming that information was changed.

Select the Leak Test menu option

Task Name field

This must be a unique name

RECURRENCE PATTERN

Launch Date field

Day the new task appears in the list of scheduled tasks under the Operator Assistant tab in the Dashboard screen. This day can be the current day or a day in the future, but not a day that has already passed.

A calendar displays when you click in this field.

Repeat Frequency drop‑down menu

Select if this test should be performed weekly or monthly.

WEEKLY

If the test is performed weekly, select the day(s) of the week when the test should be performed. A minimum of one day must be selected. The test is run on each of the selected days each week.

MONTHLY

If the test is performed monthly, select which day of the month the test will be performed. 

- If the Leak test must be performed on the same day each month (for example, the 15th day of the month), select the radio button to the left of the Day field. Then, enter the day in the Day field.

- If the Leak test must be performed on the same week of the month (first week of the month, second, third, etc.) click on the radio button to the left of the Week drop-down menu. Select the week. In the field to the right of this, select which day of the week (Monday, Tuesday, etc.) that the test should be performed.

Precondition drop‑down menu

Leak tests have no preconditions, so this menu should be empty.

Create Activity Before fields

Number of hours or days the task should begin before 11:59pm of the day selected in the Repeat Frequency buttons (defined above).

Notify if Task Not Completed By field

If the task is not completed by this time, the users specified in the Past Due Tasks field (described below) receive an email notification. This only occurs for online equipment.

NOTIFY CONTACTS

Past Due Tasks drop‑down menu

Select the users that receive an email or App Push notification when a task is past due, which is specified in the Notify if Task Not Completed By field (described above). This only occurs for online equipment.

Leak Rate Exceeding Threshold Contacts drop‑down menu

Select the users that receive an email or App Push notification when the equipment exceeds the maximum allowed threshold for the Leak test. (This is seen in the cycle tape for the Leak test.) The threshold limit is described in the Leak Rate Above Threshold Value column (described below).

Leak Rate Report Contacts drop‑down menu

Select the users that receive a Leak Test report each week about Leak tests performed over the last month. It graphs the Leak Test cycles and their Leak Rate values for each device that was tested.

Select List of Equipment for Operator Maintenance Task 

NOTE:   Both STERIS and non-STERIS equipment can appear in this list, but the equipment must be connected to STERIS UCB boards.

Checkbox column

Place a checkmark in a row’s checkbox if the Leak test you are editing should be performed on the equipment described in the row.

Department column

Department the equipment belongs to

Serial Number column

Unique number assigned to the equipment by STERIS. If an Information icon () appears next to a serial number, hover your cursor over the icon. It may inform you that the equipment is already assigned to another test. If you click on the serial number, a warning message displays:

If the OK button is selected, the task previously assigned to the equipment will no longer be run. Only the task you are currently creating will run.

Description of the equipment

Connected Status column

Shows if the equipment is connected and online. The color in the column describes the current status of the equipment:

  • Red           Alarm status
  • Green       Connected
  • Gray         Connected and offline
  • No color   Not connected

NOTES:

  • Connected means there is a UCB kit connected to the equipment that transmits information to the ConnectCare service portal.
  • Online means the equipment is on and running.
  • Offline means the equipment is not running or turned off.

Leak Rate Above Threshold Value column

Threshold value for the test. If the results of a test exceed this threshold, the users specified in the Leak Rate Exceeding Threshold Contacts field (described above) are notified.

Leak Rate Unit column

The standard unit of measurement used, for example: Hg/minute, mbar/min, etc. Your equipment’s manual specifies the measurement unit.

When selected the changes are saved. 

Cancel button

When selected, the changes are not saved.
