Updating an Existing DART Test

If you need to change the information assigned to a DART test, perform the following steps. Typical reasons to reconfigure a test include: changing the time the test should be run, adding/deleting equipment that need to perform the test, and changing notification contacts.

Steps

Step 1.  Click on the Welcome link. A drop-down menu displays.

Step 2.  Select the Manage Account menu option. The Manage Account screen displays.

Step 3.  Select the Operator Assistant tab. A list of tasks displays.

Step 4. Find the DART test whose information you want to change, then click on the Edit icon () located at the end of its row. The Edit Operator Maintenance Task screen displays. It is shown below.

 

Step 5.  Make the required changes. The fields are described in the table below.

 

Step 6.  Click on the Save button located at the bottom of the screen. A message displays.

Select the DART menu option

Task Name field

This must be a unique name

RECURRENCE PATTERN

Launch Date field

Day the new task appears in the list of scheduled tasks under the Operator Assistant tab in the Dashboard screen. This can be the current day or a day in the future, but not a day that has already passed.

A calendar displays when you click in this field.

Repeat Frequency drop‑down menu

Daily is the only menu option available for DART tests. Select this option.

Precondition drop‑down menu

DART tests do not have preconditions, so this menu is empty.

Additional Option radio buttons

These radio buttons specify when the DART test completes.

  • Run as First Cycle – The DART test must be completed before 11:59 pm.
  • Run Every Day Before – The DART test must be completed by the specified time, as shown in the figure below.

Create Activity Before field

The contents of this field depend on which Additional Option radio button was selected (defined above):

  • If the Run as First Cycle radio button was selected, then this field specifies the number of hours before 11:59pm that the task should begin each day.  
  • If the Run Every Day Before radio button was selected, then this field is the number of hours the task should begin before the time specified in the Additional Option field, as shown in the figure below.

Notify if Task Not Completed By field

If the task is not completed by this time, the users specified in the Past Due Tasks field (described below) receive an email notification. This only occurs for online equipment.

NOTIFY CONTACTS

Past Due Tasks drop‑down menu

Select the users that receive an email or App Push notification when a task is past due, which is specified in the Notify if Task Not Completed By field (described above). This only occurs for online equipment.

Select List of Equipment for Operator Maintenance Task 

NOTE:  Both STERIS and non-STERIS equipment can appear in this list, but the equipment must be connected to STERIS UCB boards.

Checkbox column

Place a checkmark in a row’s checkbox if the DART test should be performed on the equipment described in the row.

Department column

Department the equipment belongs to

Serial Number column

Unique number assigned to the equipment by STERIS. If an Information icon () appears next to a serial number, hover your cursor over the icon. It may inform you that the equipment is already assigned to another test. If you click on the serial number, a warning message displays:

If the OK button is selected, the task previously assigned to the equipment will no longer be run. Only the task you are currently creating will run.

Equipment Description column

Description of the equipment

Connected Status column

Shows if the equipment is connected and online. The color in the column describes the current status of the equipment:

  • Red           Alarm status
  • Green       Connected
  • Gray         Connected and offline
  • No color   Not connected

NOTES:

  • Connected means there is a UCB kit connected to the equipment that transmits information to the ConnectCare service portal.
  • Online means the equipment is on and running.
  • Offline means the equipment is not running or turned off.

BUTTONS

Save button

When selected, the changes are saved.

Cancel button

When selected, the changes are not saved.
