Adding a DART Warm-Up Task

DART Warm-Up tasks are defined when a DART test is created. The fields that define the DART Warm-Up task are shown in the figure below. Refer to the help topic titled “Updating an Existing DART Test” for more information.

A DART Warm-Up task must be performed when equipment has been idle for a specified amount of time (shown in figure below). The task is only run if the equipment has been idle. If any type of cycle was performed, then the equipment was not idle.

The reason DART Warm-Up tasks are necessary is because DART tests fail when a sterilizer’s chamber is cold.

NOTE:   A DART Warm-Up task is generally setup on the equipment, so it automatically runs without operator assistance. If this is not the case, and the Warm-Up task is not run, then a Past Due notification is sent warning that the Warm-Up task was not done.
